This show is probably the favorite for anyone showing a toy breed. This year had a great turn-out creating a much needed Major for Cavaliers. On Saturday Mid-FLorida CKCS Club met for a General meeting. Even with some that had to head back home after showing, nearly every chair was filled. The upcoming schedule was presented and a new job roster was passed around which will give more members the opportunity to share their talents with the club. If you were not in attendance, but interested in helping in some way, contact Malinda Pope.

Genny, one of our junior handlers has again qualified for an invitation to the famed Westminster Dog Show in New York City in 2010. The members of Mid-Florida CKCS Club are very proud of you, Genny!

July 10 at the home of club president Kala Johnston, Roger Smith gave several club members a short seminar and demonstration on brushing dog’s teeth. After losing a beloved pet while under anesthetic during a dental cleaning, Roger has made it a mission to keep all four of his dogs’ teeth as well cared for as their lovely coats.

He had samples of the different products available and demonstrated the use of each. When it came time to show how to brush the teeth, his lovely girl Maggie was dancing at his feet eagerly waiting to have her turn. Roger made it clear that with gentle introduction that sparkling teeth are easily achieved and not time consuming either.

Ginny is one of our Junior Handlers and has reached great heights in her young career. Ginny is in the limelight again as the top PBGV Junior Handler of the Year for 2008. Way to go Ginny!
